Biosketch | Shafrudeen Amod is a clinical pharmacist who has completed an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Pharmacology at Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine in 2009. This was followed by completing Masters in Law specialising in Medical Law at Howard College School of Law at UKZN. He has served as an Ad-hoc Lecturer in Health Law and Ethics and is currently a Clinical Lecturer in Infectious Diseases, at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. He is also completing his PhD in Medicine (Infectious Diseases)at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine, in an HIV-related field, with full scholarship. He is a member of numerous national and international medical and pharmacy organisations, including The South African Medico-Legal Society, International Pharmacy Federation , The South African HIV Clinicians Society and International Association of Providers of AIDS Care. He is very actively involved in the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa at a provincial level; focusing on primarily CPD activities. He is also a renowned Medical Ethics speaker, regularly presenting CPDs to pharmacists, general practitioners and medical specialists on Bioethics and Health Law. He has also attended and presented at various conferences in South Africa. | |
